Christmas Happened!

As I've gotten older (I know I'm only 20 haha) I've grown closer to my family as a whole and am glad to have such a great one! During Christmas we go to Omaha to see my mom's sister and my grandma's sister. Here are some random photos from the week!

My grandpa ALWAYS brings up politics and people get riled up. I personally love it, but I think the rest of the family hates it.



I'll end with this sweet photo of Mildred's dog (I can't spell her name). I think we planned this shot all night, it turned out perfect for her personality.

Jill Gets Married!

I spent today taking my friend and semi-boss Jill's wedding photos. It was actually a lot of fun to take photos of friends on their wedding day. Here are just a few of the shots I sorted out really fast. Congrats Nick and Jill Specht!

The Art of Life

I posted the photos of Gene Tully's studio a few days ago and it brought me back to the documentary piece I created about him. So a year after I completed this project I have decided to share it with the world.

Visiting Gene

Exactly one year ago Ned Gall and I set out on a journey to make a documentary on Gene Tully. Gene is an artist from Dubuque and I didn't know anything about him, but by the project's end Gene's outlook on life really started to hit home to me. I hadn't seen Gene in a year and when we were making the film he had promised me an art piece, so I went down and visited with him. He always has something inspiring to say and I don't even think he realizes the impact of his words; just a great guy.

Loras Men's Basketball

I took the team photo tonight for the men's basketball team. There are a lot of new faces and some big bodies. Hopefully as they develop we can have another NCAA team like last year.

Christmas Photos!

So, since I am out of work at the Lorian for our two month break my friends asked me to take their roommate christmas photo. I think it turned out quite nice. I got a nice payment of yummy chocolate chip cookies; so in the end I think it was worth it!

This is a photo I took of my roommate Nick when we were in an elevator. It turned out better than I thought it would and aids an interesting composition.

As a side note our last issue of the paper went out for the semester so from now until February you will probably see photos of my friends, family, ski, and biggest of all Germany! Which i will be in the whole month of January.

It's Basketball Season!

Loras senior Brian Centella shoots over a Clarke defender. This is the first Loras game I had been to all year, lots of new faces but I think they will be a great unit by the end of the season.

Holidays

Hope Everyone had a good Thanksgiving. This is my cousin harassing our familys sleeping exchange college student from China. The turkey really did him in.
